放天燈為台灣精彩的民俗活動，以其有平安的寓意，故廣為世人喜歡。本作品以天燈為造型，寓意平安。飾以青花纏枝組成有台灣特色之圖案。
天燈（ランタンを空に放つ）は、台湾の特別な民俗活動の一つで、安全と平安を祈る象徴として広く親しまれています。本作品は、天燈をモチーフにし、伝統的な染付模様、台湾の動物（タイワンツキノワグマ、タイワンマス、タイワンジカ、ヤマムスメ、台湾アゲハチョウ）および台湾の象形文字を組み合わせて、台湾の特色を表現しています。
Releasing sky lanterns is one of Taiwan’s unique folk activities, beloved for its imagery of peace and blessings. This work takes the shape of a sky lantern and incorporates traditional blue-and-white patterns, along with depictions of Taiwanese animals (Formosan Black Bear, Taiwanese Trout, Formosan Sika Deer, Taiwan Blue Magpie, and Formosan Swallowtail) and the pictographic word Taiwan to showcase the distinct characteristics of Taiwan.
